That was the question on my mind when I applied to be one of the SEA-Teacher participants. And the question was answered when I visited the University of Tsukuba on February 16, starting from the morning gathering with the sensei as well as the students who were going to the University of Tsukuba, and we went by bus.

After traveling for about 1-2 hours we arrived at the University of Tsukuba, the first time we saw the campus environment it was very beautiful and neat! After we arrived, we went to one of the buildings and met with Nomura sensei and Nao sensei. Our first activity was to hear and see the history of the University of Tsukuba and what courses they have for undergraduate and master's levels delivered by Dr. Nomura. As an undergraduate student, of course after hearing the explanation, there is a desire to be able to pursue a master's degree here (hopefully the opportunity will come in the future!).

After the activity was over, it was lunchtime. And we went to a shopping center near the campus to have lunch together, sensei told us to split up with the students to have lunch together. So it was decided that I would have lunch with the students namely Manaka, Miyu, and Toko. The first thing after we arrived at the shopping center was to look for the food court hoping that there would be a lot of food options to choose from, at first I was confused about what to eat but after hearing that one of my students wanted to eat udon without thinking I wanted to try it! Manaka taught me how to order and what the recommended menu was. Then, after each of us had decided what to eat that afternoon, we ate with great appetite and continued to talk about many things as well as one of my ways to get to know these students well because they were my homeroom students in class 2D!

Lunchtime over, we headed back to the bus to return to campus to attend one of Tatemoto sensei's classes with his students. At that time, at the beginning Tatemoto sensei invited us SEA-Teacher participants to introduce ourselves and then continued withTatemoto sensei explained a few things to his students. Then after that Tatemoto sensei told us that there would be a discussion session with the students, so we had to divide ourselves into several groups to join and have a chance to discuss with them. Our discussion was around the topic of how about the education system between my country, Indonesia as well, the questions that were most often asked to me during the discussion session such as 'what is the big difference between the graduation system of school students in Indonesia and Japan?', 'What time does school start at school?', to the question 'What culture shock did you feel during your time in Japan?' and many more questions as well as fun discussions with the students.

I asked Tatemoto sensei what year the students were in college and it turned out that some of them were in the same year as me. So I felt quite relaxed and had a lot of fun at the discussion session, then the session ended with Tatemoto sensei asking some of us, to give a few words to the students. Of course, since I know they are future educators, I encouraged them to study hard and work hard to become good educators who will produce the brightest generation in the future!
