Hi! I’m Venus,
Third-year Science Education students, from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
I’m Venus Zauhair Amru, most people call me ‘Venus’. But after the SEA-Teacher program, my current favorite nickname would be Venus sensei! I am a third-year student in the International Program on Science Education (IPSE) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). I've been chosen to take part in the 4th batch 2025 SEAMEO SEA Teacher Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange Program as an inbound student teacher at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. And teaching biology at the Senior High School of University of Tsukuba at Sakado.
Since childhood, I have always been inspired by the teachers who have guided and shared their knowledge with me. Seeing the positive impact they have made in my life, I feel empowered to follow in their footsteps and share knowledge with future generations. I believe that education is the key to opening doors of opportunity and shaping a better future. Teaching for me is not just a job, but a calling to create a fun and supportive learning environment for students. I feel happy to see my students will grow, develop, and discover their best potential. Through the teaching-learning process, I hope to inspire and motivate them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
Since the beginning of my educational journey, I have always been inspired by innovative teaching and diverse cultures around the world. Through this program, I hope to gain valuable experience in teaching in schools in other countries. This dream is not only about exploring new places, but also about broadening my horizons regarding different education systems and learning from international educators. I believe that this experience will enrich my teaching skills and help me become a better teacher, as well as make a positive contribution to students back in the homeland when I return.
This space shares a part of my journey where I had the chance to experience Japanese culture and practice teaching at the University of Tsukuba. I’m very thankful to the SEA Teacher Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), University of Tsukuba, and my family for supporting me and giving me the opportunity to live on my own and explore Japan for almost a month. This experience helped me grow my skills and reignite my passion for teaching.
